demo

The târ is a long-necked lute stemming from the learned Iranian tradition. Although it originally had five strings, a sixth string was added around 1910. Ostad owned a târ made by the renowned luthier Farajollâh that he would play daily. In Tehran, he interacted with some of the great musicians of the time, notably Darvish Khân and Abolhasan Sabâ.
