Description

Zīr-e Dastān means “the higher register on the neck (of the tanbur).” According to Ostad: “The angels who sing with the tanbur are divided into two groups: those who sing in the upper ranges and those who sing in the lower ranges.” The mode is joyful and resembles the Major mode in the western tradition.
